This policy explains how Inkwave ("we", "us") handles personal data of (a) publishers who create an Inkwave account, (b) readers who subscribe to publications hosted on Inkwave, and (c) visitors to our websites.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, login details and billing information for paid plans.
- Subscriber data: email address and any fields a publisher chooses to collect on their forms.
- Usage data: email opens, clicks, device and browser information, and IP address.
- Content you upload, such as posts, images and audio.
3. How we use data
- To provide, operate and secure the service, including sending newsletters on publishers' behalf.
- To process payments for plans, paid subscriptions and ad network payouts.
- To provide analytics to publishers and to improve the product.
- To communicate with you about your account, service changes and, where permitted, product news.
4. Publishers as controllers
For subscriber data, the publisher is generally the data controller and Inkwave acts as a processor on the publisher's instructions. Readers should contact the publisher first about their data.
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data with service providers (hosting, email delivery, payment processing, analytics) under contract, when required by law, or in connection with a business transfer.
6. Retention and security
We keep data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, and we use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing or withdraw consent. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link.
