What's New at Inkwave

Release notes for the Inkwave newsletter platform, with a clear label on anything that has not shipped yet.

Inkwave MCP V2

Available

Introducing the Inkwave MCP V2! Now more powerful and available to everyone. No waitlist. No paid plan required.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants connect to external tools. The Inkwave MCP server lets a compatible assistant work with your publication, for example to look up audience and post performance or draft content, using only the permissions you grant.

Version 2 removes the waitlist and the paid-plan requirement, so any Inkwave publisher can connect it.

Webinars

Coming soon

Webinars are planned as part of the digital products suite: host live events, sell tickets, and stream natively from Inkwave with video, screen sharing, and chat.

Webinars belong to Digital Products, which is not yet generally available. This entry announces the plan; we will update it here and on the Digital Products page when webinars can be used in your account.

Capacity, ticketing currencies, and plan availability will be confirmed at launch.

Native Podcast Hosting

Available

You can now launch, host, and monetize your podcast entirely on Inkwave. Publish an episode, share it with your subscribers, and track performance and growth — all in one place.

Podcast hosting means your audio files and podcast feed are stored and served by Inkwave, so you do not need a separate podcast host. Episodes can be sent to your newsletter subscribers and published to your website alongside written posts.

Listening versions of written posts are covered separately by Inkwave Audio.

How to read the Inkwave changelog

The changelog lists product updates to the Inkwave newsletter platform, grouped by the month they were announced. Each entry has a status label. Available means the feature can be used today on the plans described on its feature page. Coming soon means the feature has been announced but is not yet generally available; we keep these entries so you can see what is planned, and we update the label when it ships.

Entries link to the relevant platform page, where you will find the full description of the feature, what it is for, and which plan includes it.

What changes are included

We publish entries for new features, significant improvements to existing features, and changes that affect how you work, such as new plan requirements. Routine fixes and small interface changes are not listed individually. Months with no published release notes are not shown.

Highlights from the latest release notes

The April 2026 notes cover three items. Inkwave MCP V2 opens the MCP server to every publisher without a waitlist or paid plan, so AI assistants that support MCP can work with your publication using the permissions you grant. Native podcast hosting lets you host episodes and your podcast feed on Inkwave and send them to newsletter subscribers. Webinars are announced as part of Digital Products and are labelled Coming soon until Digital Products is generally available.
